Nagula Chavithi (09/11/2010)

On Tuesday, 9th November 2010, from 5:00am to 10pm Sri Subrahmanyeswara Swami abhisheka poojas will be performed with cow’s milk. For more information please contact poojari garu on 01772 798512.
IMPORTANT: Ksheerabdi Dwadasi falls on the 18th November 2010. It is traditional in this month that Kedaareswara, Satyanarayana Murthi Vratham and Shiva poojas are performed.

Karthika Masam (07/11/2010 – 05/12/2010)

Karthika Masam will commence from Sunday, 7th November 2010 and last until Sunday, 5th December 2010. This is a sacred period for Lord Shiva. The most sacred  days fall every Saturday on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th of November. On Masa Shiva Rathithiri, 4th December 2010, from 5:00am to 10:30pm abishekams will be carried out. Karthika Pournami falls on Sunday 21st November 2010. Abishekams will be performed in the morning until 12pm. Sahasra Namarchana will be perfomed with a variety of flowers for Shiva Parvathulu in the evening followed by meals at around 6:30pm. Any devotees wishing to take part in this event, please contact the poojari garu. Devotees are requested to bring some prasadams. It is considered to be a good day for devotees to fast.

ది.5-11-2010 శుక్రవారం అయినది ఆరోజు యదావిదిగా దేవాలయంలో సాయంత్రం శ్రీ లక్ష్మీ
పూజలు నిర్వహించబడును . ఈ పండుగను భక్తుల సౌకర్యంకోసం 6-11-2010 శనివారం సాయంత్రం
6.00 గంటలకు దీపాలంకరణ భోజన కార్యక్రమములు జరుగును తదనంతరం బాణసంచా మొదలైన
కార్యక్రమములు ప్రారంభమగును ఎవరికీ తోచిన ప్రసాదములు వారు తీసుకుని రావలెను

On 5-11-2010 Friday evening Lakshmi pooja is conducted at our temple on 6-11-2010 Saturday evening from 6:00 PM will start lilting up candles then meals will be served after that fireworks display. Devotees are requested to bring some prasadams. Every one is welcome to this festival of lights. Children and Parents will enjoy this event.

Akhand Vishnu Sahasranaama Satsang
2:00 pm 09th October 2010

This is to inform all the members and devotees that on October 9th 2010 the Akhand Vishnu Sahasranaama Satsang will start by 2.30.p.m in the afternoon U.K time @ our temple.
This is a global event aiming where one crore people to chant and give head count and all Temples, Organizations, Community Centers, and Individual Families are participating all over the globe.

Lord Ganesh pooja, Gurupooja conducted and inform about the following programme.
Purva Peetika -Once followed by
Sahasranaama part-5 times

Lakshmi Ashtotthra Shatanamavali.

We wish all devotees to come and chant for this event.
Devotees can bring fruits to offerings but there will be no food served.

Basant Panchami 2010 Saraswati Puja
7AM – 8AM & 7PM – 8PM 13th October 2010

Saraswati is a Hindu god of education. Saraswati Puja is the worship of Hindu. Generally every year Saraswati Puja is performed during Basant Panchami and Navratri.
Saraswati’s birthday – Vasant Panchami is a Hindu festival celebrated every year on the 5th day of the bright fortnight of the lunar month of Magha. Saraswati devi is considered as consort of Brahma and daughter of Durga. Saraswati’s children are the Vedas, which are the oldest sacred texts of Hinduism. Traditionally on this festival children are taught to write their first words. On this day people wear yellow garments and also prepare yellow sweet within families.
All devotees please come with your children and elders on 13th october 2010 7AM – 8AM & 7PM – 8PM.

Devi Chandi …the another name of Devi Durga is the symbol Shakti who protects the human being from the happening of all evils and blesses with Success, peace, abundance and Prosperity. The purpose of the Chandi Homam is to remove any obstacles or blocks in growth – both internally and externally – for a person or a group of people. Chandi homa is very useful for the attainment of success, wealth, prosperity, fame, removal of fear, health, longevity, Fulfilling of Desires, food, progeny, strength, removing ailments, removing danger and defeat in the hand of adversaries etc. This Homa is really very useful for the elimination of all sufferings… protection from all miseries, fulfillment of your wishes and Desires
